The Investment Daily publishes information about investments, not advice. By using this site, our newsletters and any data products or tools we publish, you agree to these terms, which are governed by the law of England and Wales.

The site is run by The Webezine Company (“we”, “us”). These terms were last updated on 9 October 2026.

Information, not advice

Everything on this site, in our newsletters and in any data products we publish is general information. It does not take account of your circumstances, objectives, tax position or attitude to risk, and it is not a personal recommendation or an offer to buy or sell any investment. We do not give investment advice or arrange investments, and we are not authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority to do either.

The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and you may get back less than you put in. Past performance is not a guide to future returns. Tax rules change, and their effect depends on your circumstances. If you need advice, use a regulated financial adviser; MoneyHelper explains how to choose one.

No reliance

We work hard to be accurate, and every figure we publish carries a source and a date. But figures go out of date, rules change and we can make mistakes. Do not rely on our content as the only basis for a financial decision. Check the current position at the primary source, which we link, and take advice where you need it.

Any tools we publish calculate results from public figures and the numbers you enter. Their results are illustrations, not advice.

TID Professional

TID Professional is for investment professionals. Content in this section is not suitable for private investors and should not be relied on by them. When you register, you confirm that you work in the investment industry and that the details you give are accurate. We may refuse, suspend or end a registration if we cannot verify it or if these terms are broken.

Your account and newsletters

Keep your sign-in details private. You can unsubscribe from any newsletter or close your registration at any time. We may change or stop a newsletter, a data product or any part of the site.

Using our content

The content of this site, including articles, tables, data products, designs and the name The Investment Daily, belongs to us or to the people who licensed it to us. You may read it, print it and share links to it for your own non-commercial use.

  • You may quote short extracts with a credit to The Investment Daily and a link to the page.
  • You may cite our data products with the credit “Source: The Investment Daily” and a link. Republishing a table in full, or regularly, needs our written permission.
  • You may not copy, scrape or republish our content in bulk, or extract it with automated tools, including to train AI systems, without our written permission, except where the law allows.
  • Material that belongs to others, such as Crown copyright data or company filings, remains theirs and is used under their terms.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site for anything unlawful, try to gain unauthorised access to it, introduce harmful code or place an unreasonable load on it.

Links to other sites

We link to regulators, official statistics, legislation and other publishers so that you can check our sources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or availability of other sites, and a link is not an endorsement. Our editorial pages do not link to dealing services, and we take no payment for links.

Advertising

Advertisements are labelled. Any advertisement for an investment is made by an authorised firm or lawfully approved by one under section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, and the advertiser is responsible for its content. An advertisement is not a recommendation by us.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.

Subject to that:

  • the site, newsletters, tools and data products are provided free of charge and “as is”, without any promise that they are complete, accurate, up to date or always available;
  • we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on our content, including any investment loss;
  • if you use the site as a consumer, we are not liable for loss that was not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses, because the site is provided for domestic and private use;
  • if you use the site for business, we are not liable for any loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity, or for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to £100.

We do not promise that the site is free of viruses. Please use your own protection.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows when they last changed. If you use the site after a change, the new terms apply.

Governing law

These terms, and any dispute or claim arising from them or from your use of the site, are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
